Lokol Solutions is a Ni-Vanuatu social enterprise based in Vanuatu. We support people and organisations working in environment and community wellbeing to make a positive difference in their communities.
We work alongside skilled Ni-Vanuatu across the islands to develop practical solutions for biodiversity conservation, M&E and leadership.
Everything we do is guided by our core values of Culture, Kinship, and Respect—listening, working together, and creating solutions grounded in local knowledge and experience.
Our Team
Michael Taiki, Director

Michael Taiki is the Founder and Director of Lokol Solutions, bringing over ten years of experience delivering environmental and community-based projects across Vanuatu and the Pacific region. He holds a Master of Environmental Management from Charles Darwin University, Australia.
He is also the founder of two community outreach initiatives: Future Leaders Mentoring Program and AUTA Rugby.
Advisory Group
At Lokol Solutions, we understand that accessing the right advice and expertise can be a challenge for many communities. Our Advisory Group brings together a diverse range of local experience and leadership, helping us deliver services to the highest standards while remaining accountable to our core values of Culture, Kinship, and Respect.
The Advisory Group are independent experts who provide mentoring and strategic guidance, supporting Ni-Vanuatu communities and emerging professionals to build capacity and drive sustainable, locally led development.

Michel Leodoro, Geoscience & Environment
Michel Leodoro is a Geoscientist and has worked for over ten years with the Ministry of Lands & Natural Resources in Vanuatu. He specializes in environmental management and geoscience research.
As an entrepreneur, he is the Principal Consultant of KAZ EnGeo. Michel graduated with a Master of Science in Earth Sciences (First Class Honors) from the University of Waikato, New Zealand.

Trisha Aruhuri, GEDSI & Research
Trisha Aruhuri is a GEDSI expert who has a wealth of experience working with the Ministry of Trade in Vanuatu and UN Women. She is currently employed as the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Manager with Save the Children Vanuatu.
Trisha is a strong advocate on youth issues and women empowerment through sustainable livelihoods. She holds a Master on Applied Anthropology and Development from Australian National University.

Carol Aru, Education & Research
Carol Aru is an educator with over twenty years of teaching experience at both secondary and tertiary institutions. She is an author of indigenous language books and has contributed to curriculum development in Vanuatu.
Carol has facilitated trainings across the Pacific and Europe as a researcher and linguist. She holds a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of the South Pacific.
